“Il cavallino nel cuore: Passione, Innovazione, Ingegneria e Stile”

On October 12th the Automotive Academy Unimore organized the event “Il cavallino nel cuore: Passione, Innovazione, Ingegneria e Stile”, a seminar by Ing. Leonardo Fioravanti. This event accompanied the launch of two intra-university Master’s programmes in "Advanced Automotive Engineering" (www.aae.unimore.it), whose opening lectures were held last week at DIEF - Enzo Ferrari Engineering Department and in "Innovation Design" (www.unife.it/architecture/lm.design)

Leonardo Fioravanti is one of the most famous aerodynamic and designer engineers in the automotive field: before founding Fioravanti srl, he worked with Pininfarina for twenty-four years designing for Ferrari several cars including Ferrari Dino 206, Ferrari 365 Daytona, Ferrari P5, Ferrari P6, Ferrari 512 Berlinetta Boxer, Ferrari 365 GT4 2+2, Ferrari 308 GTB, Ferrari 288 GTO and Ferrari 348.

In recent years Fioravanti realized Ferrari SP1 (2008), the first car of Ferrari’s “Special Project” program for unique pieces destined to private buyers made in collaboration with illustrious names of the Italian design. On January 18th 2017 at the International Automobile Festival in Paris he received an honorary award as a designer.

The words of the engineer were a source of great inspiration for the students of the new MA programmes.
